This is an absolutely beautiful Civil War Union sword belt plate. It's non-dug, has an applied wreath that is 100% present (very often, small portions of the wreath are missing - even on some non-dug specimens), and there's an absolutely perfect body curve. The tongue is early and the benchmark is crisp.

The plate has the normal age expected from a piece that has been in the attic since the war - I love that patina!

A great addition to your buckle collection or just the right plate to put with the correct belt.
