I am not quite sure if this is an LA-8 or an LA-9, but it definitely IS a Southern-made product. As excavated buttons go, this one is in fine condition with very nice gold defining the mother pelican and a surprisingly sturdy rim and back. The shank remains attached, but it does move.
There has been no repair, restoration or other monkey business with this button. I think you will be well-pleased with it. Louisiana buttons used to be like Virginia...pretty easy to obtain in nice shape. Not so much, anymore.
I have no verbal history on where this button was dug.
IF YOU WANT TO ORDER AN ITEM…
(or just ask a question about it) please email me directly at cwartifax@aol.com
Using the “Order Information” button right below the price USUALLY works, but not always. I don’t know why, but it could have to do with spam settings on either end. The easiest way to order or inquire about an item is simply to email me directly. Again, my email address is cwartifax@aol.com
Thanks!
